Decision Support

Detect, assess and respond to drone threats quickly, and with confidence.

AI-enabled decision support, scenario planning and gap analysis for layered counter-drone defense. Our tools pull sensor reports, rules of engagement and authorities together and lay out the options. A person approves every action.

Principles

How our tools behave

  • 01

    People approve every action

The AI recommends and explains. Nothing is carried out until the person with the authority approves it.

  • 02

    Grounded in your rules

Recommendations cite the rules of engagement, procedures and authorities that apply in that zone.

  • 03

    Simple under pressure

Built so the operator gets fewer, clearer choices, not another screen to watch.

  • 04

    A full record

What was seen, what was recommended, who approved it and when, kept for review and reporting.

The counter-drone decision chain:

  1. Detect: Radar, RF, EO/IR, acoustic; Remote ID and reports; Track and identify.
  2. Decide: Assess threat and intent; Check authority and rules; Rank options; a person approves.
  3. Respond: Notify and coordinate; Act within authority; Record and report.

AI advises and people approve every action. Every event is recorded and informs the next plan.

Tools

PURPLE is the first of our decision support tools. Others will follow as they are ready.

PURPLE

Predictive UAS Response Platform for Layered Engagement

Available for demonstration

PURPLE is Lantern's predictive decision-support platform for layered counter-drone engagement. It lets operators detect, assess and respond to emerging drone threats rapidly and with confidence, and it is built to close the gap between how fast drone threats evolve and how fast traditional systems can be fielded, updated and trained on.

PURPLE combines sensor reports into one track picture, assesses each track against the rules of engagement and procedures for its zone, and recommends actions in order. Hard-kill options always need a person to confirm, and requests escalate through the chain of command. Every event keeps its timeline, evidence and decisions for review.

  • Multi-sensor fusion into one track picture
  • Camera detection and tracking without GPS telemetry from the drone
  • Threat assessment grounded in zone rules and authorities
  • Ranked recommendations; people approve and escalate
  • Timeline, evidence and case history for every event
The PURPLE operator console: a dark map with a camera's field of view drawn as a wedge, a drone track inside it, a list of events on the left and a step-by-step event timeline below.
Representative dataOperator console: a camera's field of view, the track it holds, and the event timeline.
A camera view of open sky over a field and tree line, with a small drone boxed and labeled TRK-000, linked to a classifier panel showing make, type, weight and range, and a kinematics panel showing distance, altitude and speed.
Representative dataElectro-optical detection: the drone is boxed, classified and tracked frame by frame.

Demonstrations use representative data, not real operations, and say so on screen.

Uses

What it is used for

  • Scenario planning

Run likely and worst-case drone approaches against a site's layers before an event or a purchase.

  • Gap analysis

Find where detection is late, where authority is unclear and where a response depends on one person or one sensor.

  • Operator support

During an event, a ranked set of options tied to the rules, with the reasoning shown.

  • After-action review

Replay an event step by step and feed what was learned into the next plan.

Layered defense around a site: awareness, detection, decision and response rings around the protected site.AWARENESSDETECTIONDECISIONRESPONSESITE
  1. 01Awareness. Incidents at similar sites, airspace, authorities and the normal pattern of life.
  2. 02Detection. Sensors placed to see likely approaches early, with their gaps known.
  3. 03Decision. Threat assessed, authority checked, options laid out for the person in charge.
  4. 04Response. Notification, coordination and mitigation by those with the authority to act.
